Fall……

The colors are so vibrant, the cooler weather keeps in bugs at bay, pumpkin everything who doesn’t love to beauty of fall.

There is so much learning that can occur during this beautiful season. The life cycle of an apple tree, the long vines of a pumpkin, mushrooms popping up everywhere, learning about why the leaves turn colors and fall to the ground.

So many other learning opportunities can arise as this season continues.

There are two programs available for children aged between 4-10.

Oak Tree Program is a hybrid morning program that combines the little Oak tree group with the Evergreen. This is a perfect beginner program for our little outdoor enthusiasts. So much exploring and adventuring happens during these mornings. This is also a perfect opportunity to work towards being at the Forest School for a full day.

Evergreen Program is the full day program which is geared towards children aged 5 or older and those who would benefit from a full day outside.

This program is also perfect for children who attend kindergarten full time and need a little break outside at MRH Forest School.

Our time at the homestead consists of learning science, mathematic, language, motor skills, art and self identification.

Oak Tree Program

This new program is a hybrid program that combines both “Maple Tree” and Evergreen. The Oak Tree Program will run in the mornings morning from 9:30-12:30 the Evergreen program will continue as normal into the afternoon.

As you child becomes more comfortable with the space they can continue into the afternoon (can pay the difference at that time) Children enjoy the company of older children playing around them. There are so many benefits in combining the two groups. Many are even similar in age., just different levels of independence. This program also would work best doe siblings of different ages.

September 25th - December 4th (11 weeks) 9:30-12:30 - $400

During this time we will enjoyed a nature themed morning filled with stories, songs, crafts, creative play, exploring the beauty of the forest.

Evergreen Program

This programs run a full day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:30-2:30.

This program is geared towards children who are 5 and older. During this time we will be able to dive deeper into the learning all about nature.

We will be using nature to touch on mathematics, colors, shapes, patterns and letters.
