Sapling Spring Program
This program is designed for children aged 1-4 (5) who are not ready to play independently from their parent but would love the opportunity to play in a safe and inclusive Forest School environment.
This program is ideal for families who would like their children to play outside along side similar aged peers. It is also a perfect opportunity to meet the facilitator in preparations to other programs available at Mountain Road Homestead.
The children who join the Sapling Program will have the opportunity to enjoy:
· Creative play in the mud kitchen, a place where they can create so many unique and delicious “foods”.
· Explore the forest; which provides so many different topography types to help strengthen your child’s gross motor skills.
· Weekly nature craft to build on those fine motor skills and creativity
· An inclusive environment where you child will have the security of their parents/guardian close by, but gaining independence and self confidence while playing alongside other children as the weeks progress.
· The freedom of playing outside, getting dirty and building on that happiness nature provides for all of us.
Let’s build a generation of children who find peace and happiness in nature.
“No one will protect what they do not care about and no one will care about what they have never experienced”
